hans
when i place the directory under my data dir, it hangs after trying to estavblish a database connection. Not only when I try to connect as dbuser, but also when using the root user. Using the command line I can connect without anay problems. When i move it out of the directory, I get problems with xt system finding files (looksunder the documentroot of the webserver) Do I have to install any additional perl modules or isn't oerl used at all? the server is apache 2.0.48, and it connects to other databases fine
Hubi
Perl is not used at all. The error you described seems to ba an installation error. Did you run the xtc_installer?
hans
I tried to this is while i try to install the beast. The problem is like it cannot find the database, but it does exist and I can connect to it.... When I say manual config forthe database, it can't write the config files, although they have 777 as attributes
mzanier
well, before you install xtc, you have to create a empty database... and if the installer got problems with paths, then the server isnt setup right. XTC works fine on a standard Apache or others (IIS wont work)
hans
Ok, apache is configured with mod_rewrite (with rules ) and for the CMS. So I think I have to create some kind of virtual host for xtc, but it is the same host (IP) and same domain, so a real virtual host won't work...
